Power Prices vs Solar Prices

Over the last 30 years, solar equipment prices have decreased but electricity prices have increased.

For example:

An average Solar Pool System that cost $7,800 generates approximately 20,000 power units (kWh) per season.

This means that over the next 15 years, each power unit fixed cost is 2.7c

An average Solar Water Heating system that costs $7,800 generates approximately 3,000 power units per year.
This means that over the next 15 years, each power unit fixed cost is 17.8c

An average Solar Power System that costs $10,000 generates approximately 3,000 power units per year.
This means that over the next 15 years, each power unit fixed cost is 22.2c

This is very competitive, considering that most of us pay 25c + GST = 29c per unit to the power and the line companies.
